Marking Period 4 ~ Lord of the Flies, Research Writing, Grammar, Reading Focus

Students will be reading and critically analyzing the novel Lord of the Flies by William Golding. They will be reading the novel and comparing the events in the novel to real-world scenarios and think critically about the impacts of the behaviors exhibited in the novel and the scenarios that happen in our society today.
Students will be working with grammar and applying it throughout the marking period.
Students will be working with technical reading, and applying to real-world situations, and focusing on comprehension.
Students will be working with proper researching techniques and how to apply their research into a properly formatted research paper. They will learn how to apply MLA formatting into their papers, how to decipher valid, necessary information to include in their writing, and how to properly cite information that they use.
