Community Service Opportunities
Please see Mrs. McIntyre for more specific details
Yale Council on Aging
Yale Council on Aging is always looking for volunteers to do a variety of services for their senior center. Potential tasks include: organizing a greeting card display, do activities with the seniors, make signs for fundraisers, move tables and chairs, pack daily cold meals or weekend meals, and planning and managing a recreational activity.
Tutoring - Yale High School/Junior High/Farrell, Avoca and Emmett Elementary
The schools are always looking for volunteers who can help assist students who are struggling with their school work. If you are able to assist during AAA or after school, there are plenty of opportunities available.
Yale Chamber of Commerce
Yale Chamber is looking for student volunteers to assist with any functions that they may sponsor. For example, the Bologna Festival is an event that can use many volunteers. In addition, they host the concert in the park, business fairs, and various other activities. Please check your Facebook and this website for updates on events. Feel free to contact the Chamber at 387-9253 for any suggestions on volunteer opportunities. They usually sponsor summer activities, so you need to check often for opportunities.
Looking for students interested in becoming pen pals with 5th grades in the Yale Public School District. You need to see Mrs. McIntyre for the committee leader, and you will be set-up with a student.
NHS is always looking for new ways to help raise funds to support community projects. If you have an idea please see Mrs. McIntyre or Scott Donnellon.
